Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister HH Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Higher Education and Scientific Research Minister and President of Zayed University (ZU), launched yesterday the latest electronic forensic laboratory at ZU.
The highly advanced laboratory, which aims to increase awareness about the applicable electronic criminal research, is the first of its kind in the Arab world.
Sheikh Saif also attended the graduation ceremony of 15 students, the first batch of Master Degree in IT, specialised in Cyber Network Security Information. Commenting on the occasion, he said that "we are proud of our UAE national cadres from Abu Dhabi police, who graduated in this programme".
On his part, Sheikh Nahyan thanked the UAE leadership for supporting the university and the higher education institutions to further continue their role in preparation of qualified local cadres in all fields. He also praised Sheikh Saif for sponsorship of the ceremony. - Emirates News Agency, WAM
