An injured Egyptian pilgrim has been lifted from Saudi Arabia and admitted at a local hospital, at the instructions of Interior Minister, Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan. Mohammed Ramadhan Mohammed, a UAE resident, was being hospitalized in the Saudi province of Tayef for treatment of multiple fractures he had sustained in a traffic accident on his way back from Hajj.

"Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed offered to personally bear the cost of treatment of the injured pilgrim in the Saudi German Hospital, one of the most prestigious medical facilities in Saudi Arabia, but the man opted instead for treatment in a UAE hospital, where he can enjoy the company of his family and relatives," disclosed Colonel Ahmed Al Rayesi, Director General of Central Operations at Abu Dhabi Police Headquarters.

On the other hand, sources at Makkah Police disclosed that they had received strict instructions from the Governor of Makkah, Prince Abdul Majeed bin Abdul Aziz, for intensifying the search for the two UAE women who had gone missing since January 15th. (The Emirates News Agency, WAM)
