Passenger traffic in May reached 611,129, an increase of 12.63 per cent, compared to 542,621 during the corresponding month in 2011. "Ensuring that the thousands of passengers that use the facility every month pass through smoothly and efficiently is one of the top priorities for Sharjah Airport Authority. The month of May witnessed a noticed growth in passenger traffic, flights and cargo, because of the start of summer and vacations season. We prepared very well to cope with the rush, by harnessing the potential and provide the best services and facilities for travellers to make travel easy and comfortable,” Sharjah Airport Authority director-general Ali Salim Al Midfa said. – Khaleej Times
