Sharjah Ruler lauds RCA's humanitarian programmes

His Highness Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, said the UAE, under the leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan has held a commanding position in charity and relief works through the "gateway" of Red Crescent Authority (RCA).

"We will spare no effort to back up RCA's efforts and help it continue the humanitarian approach and charity programmes for the relief of the aggrieved and orphans," Dr. Sheikh Sultan said after receiving Khalifa Nasser Al Suweidi, RCA chairman here yesterday. The Sharjah Ruler said these efforts had helped the RCA to become "a landmark" in charity work. He said the RCA, under the presidency of Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, had always taken the initiative in charitable works through of variety of programmes. Al Suweidi paid tribute to Dr. Sheikh Sultan for his stances in the humanitarian issues and valued highly his numerous gestures in humanitarian programmes. (The Emirates News Agency, WAM)
