Sharjah Ruler orders relief materials to Pakistan's flood victims

His Highness Dr Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, UAE Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah has ordered the dispatch of a planeload of relief materials to the people affected by floods in Pakistan.

Sheikh Mohammed bin Saud Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Sharjah Finance Department said the aid consignment included foodstuff and medical items, as well as a flying hospital to provide first aid and medical treatment to the victims of floods. He added that work was underway to set up camps to provide food medical care for the displaced people.

Sheikh Mohammed also said that under the directives of Sheikh Sultan, alternative villages will be built to shelter the poor people affected by the floods, in coordination with the government of Pakistan. – Emirates News Agency, WAM
