Sheikh Hamdan follows up RCS relief work for Afghan refugees

Peshawar (WAM) Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed al Nahyan, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, today made a telephone call to the delegation of the UAE Red Crescent Society, RCS, currently available in Peshawar to make arrangements for the relief efforts to be contributed by the UAE to Afghan refugees. The RCS relief campaign ordered by President Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan al Nahyan includes building camps with all necessary facilities. The delegation briefed Sheikh Hamdan on the plan details of the camp to be built for 10,000 refugees which includes six quarters accommodating 2500 tents, or 400 tents each quarter, as well as administration and services quarters. The delegation earlier bought tents, foodstuff and other necessary items from the Pakistani market at a value of about Dhs 2.233 million. WAM
