Sheikh Khalifa receives condolence cables from World leaders

President H.H. Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan has received more cables of condolences from world leaders on the demise of Sheikh Maktoum bin Rashid Al Maktoum, who died in Australia on Wednesday morning. Sheikh Khalifa received cables from Presidents Moammar Al Qhadafi of Libya, Isaias Afewerke of Eritrea, Moritz Leuenberger of the Swiss Confederation, Ilham Aliev of Azerbaijan and Bharrat Jagdeo of Guyana.

Iraq's Vice President Ghazi Al Yawar and Prime Ministers Mikhail Mikhail Fradkov of Russia, Begum Khaleda Zia of Bangladesh and Jens Stoltenberg of Norway as well as Prince Fahd Ibn Sultan Ibn Abdul Aziz, Governor of Tabuk, Dr Mohamed At-Twaijri, Director General of the Arab Administrative Development Organisation, Iyad Allawi, former prime minister of Iraq and Kofi Anan, Secretary-General of the United Nations have also cabled their condolences to the President.

Meanwhile, H.H Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Ruler of Dubai, has received cables of condolences from Dr. Shukri M. Ghanem, Secretary of the Libyan People's General Committee and Dr. Ali Abdul Salaam al-Tureiki, the secretary for African Unity Affairs at Libya's People's General committee for External Communication and International Cooperation.
