Sheikh Mohammed Charity launches campaign to help Afghan refugees

Dubai (WAM) Mohammed al Nabooda, a UAE businessmen, today donated half a million Dirhams to Afghan refugees in response to an appeal made by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum's Charity and Humanitarian Organisation, said Ibrahim Bulmilha. Bulmilha, the Organisation's Deputy Chairman, called upon benevolent people to extend help to the Afghan refugees. He said the initial needs comprised the establishment of 100 camps for one million people with each camp consisting of 1500 tents, 50 water wells, and 100 health centres. He said that the organisation was sending a fact-finding mission to Afghan-Pakistan border areas to assess the needs of the refugees. WAM
