Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai H. H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum called today on ministers and top leaders in the federal and local governments to pave the way for young national professionals in the second and third line leadership to unleash their talents and show up on the theatre so as to contribute to the development and building drive and elevate to leadership positions.

Sheikh Mohammed demanded the top leaders to pay a friendly ear to junior employees to discuss their concerns and tap their intellectual and creative energies so as to groom them for future.

In an open-heart dialogue with the second and third line leaders at the Zabeel Palace, Sheikh Mohammed said: 'We are meeting here today not to review achievements and gains made in favour of the country and its citizens in areas as diverse as education, health, housing, youth, sports and others, but to exchange views and listen to your positive opinions and proposals so as to join forces as one team in addressing development challenges and overcome them for the best interest of the country and its citizens and for raising the country's profile regionally and internationally.

Sheikh Mohammed said he was glad to meet for the first time in this historic day with national government officials away from the daily routine and protocol between the government and people.

Underlining the importance of promoting the culture of competitiveness worldwide, the UAE leader said the federal government's duty is to put financial and human expertise and energy at the disposal and service of the local governments and not to compete with them or leave federal government institutions compete with these cadres which are integral part for their peers in the national action.

Sheikh Mohammed called on ministers and chairmen of departments to fight routine and bureaucracy and take the field work as the best way for change, reform and assisting sons and daughters of the community and serving the nation in different domains.

Sheikh Mohammed said his website as prime minister welcomes complaints and questions from nationals of all categories.

Stressing that he is fully aware of the performance of ministers and senior officials, the Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai said :' Transparency is required and the federal government is striving to foster and bolster it as a civilisational culture in ministries and bodies delivering services to the citizens.

As he outlined mission of the newly established Emiratisation Council, Sheikh Mohammed said he was not satisfied with training time the employee in federal government circles is receiving and instructed the increase of hours of training programmes which help youngsters of both sex gain knowledge and practical experience and develop their skills and achieve their ambitions.

He urged the young generations to be ambitious and have strong will to reach their target. "Without ambition, no one can scale up to the first ranks," he said, urging them to scoop from the sea of science and knowledge and read more to enrich their culture and knowledge.

Later, Sheikh Mohammed engaged with his guests in a frank dialogue during which he listened to their comments and ideas which he promised to study them so as to benefit from them. – Emirates News Agency, WAM
