Sheikh Mohammed reviews reviews bilateral ties with US Navy Secretary

(WAM) General Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid al Maktoum, Dubai Crown Prince and Defence Minister, today met with US Secretary of the Navy, Gordon R. England, accompanied by US Navy Commander Admiral Charles Moore. They reviewed bilateral ties as well as the current situation of the region and the world. The meeting was also attended by Lt. General Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed al Nahyan, UAE Armed Forces Chief of Staff. In a statement after the meeting, England said that he discussed with Sheikh Mohammed ways of strengthening co-operation between the two countries. He added that Sheikh Mohammed's views were identical with that of the US on fighting terrorism, noting that there was international unanimity on the issue. Also present at the meeting was Commodore Suhail al-Marar, UAE Navy Commander, and Marcel Wahba, US Ambassador to the UAE. (WAM)
