Sheikha Fatima addresses GCC young women's forum

Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak yesterday addressed the Fourth GCC Young Women's Forum organized by the GCC countries' Girl Guide Committee under her patronage dubbed "We Volunteer for a Better Gulf". Seventy four Girl Guide leaders will partake in the event.



Sheikha Fatima said that she was proud of UAE young women who have understood the changes which have occurred in the society, based on their instincts and cultural backgrounds.



"Your efforts as Girl Guides who embrace the motto 'Be Ready' is an addition to the already great record of women in our country. Women have indeed proved their ability to bear a part of the responsibility towards the development of the UAE and place it among leading nations of the world", Sheikha Fatima said.



On her part, Sheikha Shamsa bint Hamdan Al Nahyan, the wife of Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, lauded the role of Girl Guides in upgrading the character and personality of UAE women ,developing their skills in voluntary work and in delivering services to the community.
