The Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq) has announced that the delivery phase of the Al Majaz Waterfront development's amenities have commenced. A total of 4700m?, allocated for eight high-class restaurants and cafes with exquisite views overlooking the Khalid Lagoon and the Musical Fountain, have been delivered to investors.

The project's features are becoming clearly visible as the developers are working day and night to ensure that the first phase of the project opens during the fourth quarter of this year. He added that a number of facilities and amenities have already been added to the project, and that construction works are nearing completion, Marwan Bin Jassim Al Sarkal, Shurooq CEO, said in a press release.

Al Sarkal revealed that all the facilities were fully leased, several months ahead of the first phase's completion date. These facilities include a number of luxurious restaurants and cafes, which will open in Sharjah for the first time. Interior decorating has also commenced, with the new tenants preparing to launch on time.

The Dh100 million Al Majaz Waterfront is the fruit of Shurooq's labour to encourage investment and tourism in Sharjah, and has been carried out with the aim of constructing a grand leisure park that complies with international standards in cooperation with Sharjah government departments and establishments, as well as international companies. The project is spread over an area of 231.000 square feet with the first phase occupying 121.000 square feet and the second phase extending over 110.000 square feet.

The Al Majaz Waterfront is located on the Khalid Lagoon in the heart of one of Sharjah's most vital and popular areas, which is the location for a number of the emirate's most high-profile events, such as the Sharjah Ramadan Festival, the Sharjah Water Festival, the Sharjah Lights Festival and the UIM Formula One Powerboat World Championship - Sharjah Grand Prix. - Emirates News Agency, WAM
