MOGADISHU: The Somali government has condemned the terrorist attack which targeted a UAE aid convoy in the capital, Mogadishu, yesterday.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Investment Promotion of the Federal Republic of Somalia has reiterated its condemnation of the terrorist attack, which resulted in deaths and injuries to Somali civilians.

The ministry said that the car bomb which targeted the convoy was a cowardly act of terrorism which will not stop the Somali peace and reconciliation process.

The ministry also confirmed it is to undertake effective action against terrorism and false ideologies, adding that it will never cease its efforts to root out terrorism.

It added that the Federal Somali Government is working actively and continuously with friendly countries and regional and international organisations to establish law and order in all parts of Somalia. - Emirates News Agency, WAM -http://www.wam.ae/en/news/international/1395282459167.html
