The Centre of Information Affairs in Abu Dhabi has issued a study on the occasion of the visit of the President H.H. Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan to Kazakhstan.

Entitled: "Relations between the United Arab Emirates and the Republic of Kazakhstan", the study touches on the various aspects of these distinctive relations and the efforts made by the two countries to further strengthen them, for their common benefits and interests. It indicates that the United Arab Emirates has built the foundations of its foreign policy on the principles of strengthening relations with all friendly nations in the world, especially with Muslim countries, including Kazakhstan.

H.H. Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan has taken a keen interest in consolidating friendly relations and cooperation between the UAE and Kazakhstan, says the study, adding that this has been evidenced by Sheikh Khalifa's constant meetings with his brother H.E. President Nursultan Nazarbayev; meetings which played a great role in boosting the ties of friendship and cooperation between the two friendly peoples.

It points out that the two countries made impressive stride in widening the horizons and scope of their cooperation, where they have reached the stage of integration in various fields-economic, industrial, commercial, and political coordination. The two countries have introduced formulas and frameworks which further consolidate consultation and exchange of views over issues of common interest, and which help coordinate opinions over new circumstances that might emerge in the region and in the world, with a view to securing the interests of the two countries and those of the Islamic nation.

The study mentions that relations between the United Arab Emirates and the Republic of Kazakhstan have become a model for other countries to follow in their relations. It notes that the special regard shown by the President H.H. Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan toward Central Asian Muslim nations and peoples has made these relations more gleaming and glittering, as he said in one of his statements, "We are linked with these countries by the Islamic bonds, and we cooperate with them and extend aid to them, with the aim of achieving common benefit and interest." – Emirates News Agency, WAM
