TAKREER (Abu Dhabi Oil Refining Company) announced yesterday that a contract worth US$ 623 Million has been awarded to GS Engineering '&' Construction Corporation for Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Commissioning (EPC) works of the Inter Refinery Pipelines (IRP-II) Project.
With a total length of 955 kilometres of pipeline ranging from 10 to 28 inches in diameter, the planned pipeline network connecting the Refineries with various Terminals in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi will be capable of covering the increase in demand in refined petroleum products for the foreseeable future, according to a press release by TAKREER.
The project is being executed in fulfilment of ADNOC vision to establish reliable and safe network of pipelines for Hydrocarbon Product movement between the refineries and storage Terminals for commercial distribution. The Front End Engineering Design (FEED) for the Project was completed by TECHNIP, while Project Management is being provided by TEBODIN. – Emirates News Agency, WAM
