The reshuffle:



During the cabinet reshuffle, the Ministry of Presidential Affairs was created, while the Ministry of Education and Youth was merged with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to form the Ministry of Education.



The Ministry of Economy was merged with the Ministry of Planning to make the Ministry of Economy and Planning. The Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources merged with the Ministry of Electricity and Water to become the Ministry of Energy.



The Ministry of State for Supreme Council Affairs with the additional responsibility of GCC affairs was made the Ministry of Supreme Council and GCC Affairs.



The new ministers are Major General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan (Interior Minister), Sheikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan (Minister of Presidential Affairs), Sheikha Lubna Al Qasimi (Minister of Economy and Planning), Mohammad Bin Dha'en Al Hamili (Minister of Energy), Sultan Bin Saeed Al Mansouri (Minister of Communications) and Dr. Ali Bin Abdullah Al Ka'abi (Minister of Labour and Social Affairs).



Sheikh Nahyan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan (Minister of Education), Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan (Minister of Public Works) and Sheikh Fahim Bin Sultan Al Qasimi (Minister of Supreme Council and GCC Affairs) are in charge of the recast ministries. (The Gulf News)
