The UAE goes from strength to strength

A UAE daily paper lauded the UAE's success story as a role model for many in the region and beyond.

'The UAE has scaled new heights of glory and development. As the nation celebrates its 44th National Day today, it is an occasion to post new goals for itself and choreograph new ideas and vistas to attain those objectives. The UAE's success story is owing to its egalitarian leadership and the dedication that the nationals and expatriates had shown in realising the targets of development and prosperity, according to a comment published in Khaleej Times.

'It is, indeed, a role model for many in the region and beyond. The most important aspect is that there is no time to pause or look back. That is what differentiates the UAE from others in the world. The spirit of oneness, justice for all and a developmental national agenda is the driving force of the nation.

'On this auspicious day, the nation has new horizons to look ahead and that too with a renewed spirit of togetherness. The Martyrs' Day, which was observed on November 30, proved beyond any doubt that the leadership and the nation are united. Their resolve to uphold freedom, defend territorial sovereignty and come to aid and assistance of their Arab brethren in the region is undisputed. In fact, Operation Restore Hope in Yemen has stirred nationalism to new heights and brought to fore the talent, patriotism and dedication of the people for the Emirates and its cherished goals of Arab fraternity.

'This is the day to pay tributes to the founding fathers of the UAE who dreamt to create a society that is orderly, just and passionate enough to provide the best to its citizens and expatriates. The nation has proudly lived up to that daunting task and today the UAE is second to none in terms of a developed country, and a place where more than 200 nationalities feel at home.

'The desert land is now the heartthrob for people around the world in terms of tourism, business and enterprise. Its strengths are unmatchable in the region: strong infrastructure, a hassle-free administration and pro-business policies. The UAE believes in moderation and at the same time attached to its historic roots of Islamic identity. This underscores stability, rationality in approach and the belief in cultural pluralism.

'This trust and confidence is UAE's biggest achievement and hardly any country in the world can match that gesture. This spirit of oneness has led it from strength to strength, and it is a great achievement that Dubai will be holding Expo-2020 to showcase not only its vibrancy but also the resolve to lead from the front in development, innovation and big-ticket businesses. Nonetheless, that is not an end in itself, as the nation is destined to reach Mars and diversify the economy to non-oil based resources.

'The nation feels proud in raising the national bar for development every year and strives for it meticulously. That is why the country was least impacted with the recession trends in global economy and is a bastion of peace and serenity in the region. This is what makes it a power to be reckoned with. The UAE's quest for cultural amalgamation and at the same time retain its unique national colours is laudable. That is what makes it an indispensable nation-state. It would not have been possible without sustained efforts, consistency in policies and an untiring and selfless leadership. Today is the day to stand up, cheer and fly the national flag higher and higher.' – Emirates News Agency, WAM - http://www.wam.ae/en/news/emirates/1395288776729.html
