The third Arabian Saluki Beauty Contest will be organised by the Arabian Saluki Centre, Abu Dhabi, during this year's International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition.
The event, which will take place from October 8 to 11 at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre, is sponsored by Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Emirates Falconers Club. The Arabian Saluki Beauty Contest gives Saluki owners an opportunity to showcase their precious hounds on an international level.
The contest will be judged by Sir Terence Clark, former chairman of the British Saluki Club. The Arabian Saluki Centre, established in 2002 by Hamad Al- Ghanem with the support of the Emirates Falconers Club, commits itself to both the preservation of the pure breed Arabian Saluki and the traditional way of the Arabian hunting as an essential part of cultural heritage. – Khaleej Times
