Three mild earthquakes hit Oman Sea and areas in the northern regions of the UAE Sunday evening, according to The National Centre of Meteorology '&' Seismology (NCMS).
NCMS, in a statement, said its National Seismic Network Stations recorded first one, of 3.8 magnitude on the Richter Scale, within 33 kilometres north of Fujairah in the sea, at 8.13pm local time; the second, of 4.6 magnitude, 200 kilometres northeast of Fujairah at 8:38pm and the third, of 3.1 magnitude, at 9:07pm about 27 kilometres north of Fujairah .
NCMS said residents in the these areas felt the tremors. – Emirates News Agency, WAM
