Taleb Moussa, who emerged as the UAE National Chess Championship recently with a creditable victory, is aiming for more glory. Talking to Gulf News after regaining the coveted title, Moussa said: "I want to increase my rating and improve further. And for that I must play in tougher events." This victory has given Moussa the much needed boost. "It was great to be on the winner's podium. Success has given me the confidence to do better," he added.

Moussa does not have any fixed timings for practice. "Everything depends on my day's schedule, but I ensure that I get time to play on the Internet and the weekend blitz events at the Dubai Chess Club. The summer season has just started and I am looking forward to play in as many events as possible before September." Moussa is also planning to play in the Swiss Open tournaments in Europe and the Arab events in Syria. Is he confident of clinching a place among the top chess players of the world soon? "I believe in one step at a time. My next aim is the Arab Championship title," he replied. (The Gulf News)
