UAE-Algerian joint committee meeting concludes

The fifth meeting of the Joint UAE-Algerian Ministerial Committee concluded in yesterday with a renewed commitment by both sides to bolster bilateral cooperation. The two aides signed six agreements that will form a framework for bilateral cooperation. The UAE minister of economy, Sheikha Lubna Al-Qasimi, who signed the agreements for the UAE , hailed the success of the fifth session, saying the six agreements would reinforce bilateral ties.



"As we end the fifth session of joint committee, I look toward more successes that will sustain economic, technical and trade relations between our two countries." said al-Qasimi. The six agreements cover the fields of tourism, higher education and scientific research, labour and technical relationships, diplomatic institution, water and customs.



For his part , the Algerian Minister of Finance Karim Judi, who represented the Algerian side in the signing ceremony, praised the outcome of this meeting , noting that it would pave the way for positive relations. (Emirates News Agency, WAM)
