UAE-Egyptian surgeons provide treatment to heart patients in sisterly and friendly countries

Khartoum: UAE and Egyptian surgeons have conducted open-heart surgeries on the needy people in sisterly and friendly countries within the global humanitarian campaign to alleviate the sufferings of the patients in the framework of the Emirati-Egyptian program which will continue for a year under the supervision the Egyptian Ministry of Health with partnership of Sheikh Zayed Hospital.

Emirati Heart Surgeon Dr. Adel Al Shamri, CEO of Zayed Giving Initiative and chairman Emirates Mobile Hospital said that UAE is keen to adopt the humanitarian initiatives and particularly in the medical fields in the context of the joint work among government and private health and non profitable institutions.

The Egyptian doctors have shown an exemplary model of specialised voluntary work within their effective participation in the Emirati-Egyptian team which could, in a short period of time conducted hundreds of heart surgeries as well as introducing new techniques in the field.

He added that the Emirati-Egyptian-French team will conduct more open heart surgeries, stressing that the program will continue for a whole year in UAE, Egypt, Sudan, Bosnia and Mauritania.

Al Shamri hailed the efforts of the Egyptian Ministry of Health which enabled the team to offer its curative, surgical and preventive services for open heart patients at Sheikh Zayed Hospital which is deemed as a great institution equipped with the state of the art medical equipments and human resources. - Emirates News Agency, WAM
