UAE-Malawian cooperation discussed

Blantyre - Malawi is ready to open all venues of cooperation with the UAE and to give all facilities to UAE delegations and businessmen, stressed Malawian Foreign Minister Joyce Banda. Banda further hailed the UAE's humanitarian efforts in the African continent through the UAE Red Crescent Society.



The Malawian Foreign minister made her remarks following a meeting here with a senior UAE delegation here in the Malawian capital city to discuss bilateral cooperation between the two countries in various areas.



The UAE delegation is headed by Foreign Ministry Undersecretary for International Cooperation Mohammed Abdul Raheem Abdul Jaleel and comprises senior officials from the Federal National Council (FNC), the Abu Dhabi Fund for Development (ADFD), Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority (ADTA) Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ADCCI).



The Malawian side comprised Foreign Minister Joyce Banda, Tourism Minister Patricia Kaliati, Minister of Health Marjorie Ngaunje, Minister of Sports and Youth Ja'afar Mousa and other senior officials.



For his part, Abdul Jaleel said "the UAE leadership is intent on lending support to Malawi for the good of its government and people." (Emirates News Agency, WAM)
