UAE envoy presents credentials to Organisation for Prohibition of Chemical Weapons

Amsterdam: UAE ambassador to Netherlands Abdullah Hamdan Al Naqbi presented yesterday his credentials to Ahmet Uzumcu, Director General of the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) as representative to the organisation.

The UAE diplomat expressed the UAE's commitment to the Chemical Weapons Convention out of its belief that weapons of mass destruction (WMD) pose real threats to international peace and security. He also voiced the UAE's desire to boost joint cooperation with the OPCW. – Emirates News Agency, WAM
