UAE 25 aircrafts with relief goods unloaded at Chaklala air base

Islamabad - At least 25 aircrafts of the UAE have unloaded 1200 tons relief assistance at Chakklala air base on so far on Sunday. The supplies included eatables, blankets, tents and other relief goods. The first consignment was rushed to Islamabad soon after the devastating earthquake that hit several areas of NWFP and Azad Kashmir on 8th October, Ambassador of UAE in Pakistan Ali Mohammad Al- Shamsi said Saturday night.



Al Shamsi said Saturday night that six injured persons accompanied by para medical staff have flown back home after their full recovery, Monday. Ambassador Al Shamsi mentioned that a new medical team led by the Director General of Medical Services at UAE Armed Forces and a fully equipped field hospital are also on board the aircraft. He stressed that the additional field hospital is urgently required due to the fast growing number of the earthquake victims. (The Emirates News Agency, WAM)
