UAE Air Force endorses Middle East Conference

The UAE Air Force and Air Defence Command have officially endorsed the Middle East Air Chief's Conference being organised as part of this year's Dubai air show. The conference, being organised by Defence News, the international trade newsweekly, in association with Fairs & Exhibitions, which organises the Dubai air show, is to be held at the Le Meridien Hotel on December 6, the day before the opening of Dubai 2003, the eighth international aerospace exhibition. '

The conference, which is being sponsored by Northrop Grumman Integrated Systems, will cover cutting-edge defence and aerospace issues. Topics up for discussion will include anti-terrorism strategies and intelligence sharing, developing air-land battle doctrine and future technologies; Discussion will also take a close look at the Iraq conflict, including the lessons learned. "Panels of experts will offer presentations on these 'topic areas and other key defence issues affecting the Gulf region," said Clive Richardson, chief executive, Fairs & Exhibitions. "

The speaker list will be drawn from regional and international chiefs of staff, and other senior military experts." Attending the conference will be VIP military delegations, which are being invited to the show by the Government of Dubai and the UAE Ministry of Defence. Dubai 2003, which will run at the Airport Expo from December 7-11, is organised by Fairs & Exhibitions in collaboration with the Department of Civil Aviation, Government of Dubai and the UAE Armed Forces.
