The UAE Central Bank will issue on Sunday 29th August 2010, a commemorative silver coin to mark the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the establishment of the National Centre For Documentation and Research (NCDR), said a statement from the Central Bank.
The 40mm diameter coin weighs 40 grams and is minted with 92.5 % silver and 7.5% copper.
The coin face depicts the portrait of President H.H Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and is engraved with the denomination. The back of the coin depicts the logo that marks the occasion.
The whole issue of the 2000 coins have been delivered to NCDR and hence it will not be available for sale to the general public through banks, said the statement. – Emirates News Agency, WAM
