UAE Foreign Ministry mourns Afghan King's demise

The UAE Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Mohammed Hussein Al Sha'ali and Foreign Ministry staff offered yesterday their condolences on the demise of former Afghan King Zahir Shah to Afghan Ambassador to the UAE Abdul Fareed Zakaria and members of the Afghan diplomatic mission in Abu Dhabi. Condolences were conveyed to the Afghan Ambassador by Deputy Director of Asian and African Affairs at the UAE Foreign Ministry Saqr Nasser Al Raisi.

Signing the condolences book at the Afghan Embassy, Al Raisi expressed the deepest sympathy and sincere condolences of the Ministry to the Afghan people and the family of the late Zahir Shah. He prayed to Allah to give patience and the strength to the fraternal Afghan people and the bereaved family of the late king. (Emirates News Agency, WAM)
