UAE National Strategy an epitome of progress: Lubna

The UAE Government Strategy unveiled on Tuesday by H.H Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, is all set to beef up the socio-economic development process, according to Sheikha Lubna bint Khalid Al Qasimi, Minister of Economy.

"The UAE has, in such a record time span, protruded itself as an epitome of development and progress," she said in a statement yesterday.

She touted the UAE economy as "ever vibrant." It took six months to map out the economic development strategy within the three-year master plan as announced yesterday.

"The economic development strategy focuses on such issues as competitiveness and economic policies, whether internal or external, and treats them as most persistent priorities," noted the Minister.

The government master plan, she added, mirrors the prudent vision of President H.H. Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and his Vice President, who she said both aspire to see the UAE among most advanced countries economically, socially and administratively. (Emirates News Agency, WAM)
