UAE RCS continues support for earth quake and Tsunami tidal waves victims

Within the framework of the directives of President H.H. Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, The UAE Red Crescent Society, RCS, has continued its support in providing emergency relief assistance to the victims of the devastating earthquake and Tsunami tidal waves that hit seven countries in southern and southeastern Asia on last Sunday.

The second UAE RCS shipment of the emergency relief supplies to Sri Lanka will leave here today on board Etihad Airlines. Khalifa Nasser Al Suweidi, RCS Board Chairman has reiterated the RCS keen desire to continue sending emergency relief supplies to the affected countries in line with the directives of Sheikh Khalifa and close supervision of Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Premier, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and RCS Chairman.
