UAE RCS extends its humanitarian assistance inside the green line in Palestine

Tulkaram - The UAE Red Crescent Society's humanitarian programmes in Palestine have also extended to Tulkaram, Qalqilya and mosques and hospitals of Al Ludd, Haifa and Yafa cities. In a tour by the Emirates News Agency's, WAM, mission to these cites, they have reported that health, social centres and mosques were constructed by the UAE RCS at the cost of Dh2.4 million. In Tulkaram city the UAE assistance concentrated in providing the Zaka Hospital with medical equipment, medicines at the cost of Dh800,000. The UAE RCS has also sponsored around 100 orphans and 30 needy families in Tulkaram and they all receive financial assistance on monthly basis.



The UAE RCS has also constructed maternity ward in Al Shifa Al Islami Hospital in Qalqilya at the cost of Dh100,000, in addition to contributing to the establishment of a centre for the handicapped and supporting the ophthalmology centre run by the Palestinian Red Crescent Society, at the cost of Dh120,000. The UAE RCS has also allocated Dh160,000 for sponsoring orphans and assistance to needy families in Qalqilya. (The Emirates News Agency, WAM)
