UAE RCS sends relief assistance to the Afghan refugees in Iran

In line with the orders of President H.H. Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, to dispatch at the earliest four plane-load of relief assistance to the Afghan refugees in Iran, the first UAE plane of the air bridge arrived here today in the Iranian Mashhad Airport. The relief materials were accompanied by a delegation from the UAE Red Crescent Society, RCS, led by Khalifa Nasser Al Suwaidi, RCS Board's Chairman.



The UAE RCS delegation was received at Mashhad Airport by a team from the Iranian Red Crescent Society headed by Jhulam Reza Ghang Abadi, Secretary General of the Iranian's RCS, Ali Muhsin Al Hamili, Adviser to the UAE Embassy in Iran and Badr Nasser Al Zaabi, Administrative Attache in the UAE Embassy in Iran. Al Suwaidi said that this the beginning of the relief ordered by Sheikh Zayed to the Afghan refugees in Iran, while another delegation from the UAE RCS went to Pakistan to join UAE RCS delegations earlier proceeded to Pakistan and we have transferred money to our embassy in Pakistan to purchase all required relief materials by the Afghan refugees in Pakistan.
