UAE Red Crescent approves over Dh 20million in foreign aid

The Foreign Aid committee in the Red Crescent Authority (RCA) decided yesterday to spend Dh 20 million in foreign aid in the coming phase.

The amount will be spent to finance a number of development projects in vital areas such as healthcare, education, sanitation and provision of drinking water in a number of countries including Palestine, Jordan, Lebanon, Egypt, Yemen, Somalia, Senegal, Sudan, Uganda and Burkina Faso, Mauritania, Djibouti, Sierra Leone, Tajikistan, Nigeria, Niger and Togo.

The committee, at its meeting yesterday at RCA headquarters, considered 110 various applications for assistance from 18 countries. – Emirates News Agency, WAM
