UAE Red Crescent to help in earthquake Rehab phase in Pakistan

Islamabad - The UAE Red Crescent Society has shown firm commitment to help in reconstruction and rehabilitation phase in earthquake devastated areas in Pakistan ,while continuing its relief efforts in the earthquake affected areas. Ambassador Ali Mohammed Al -Shamsi said ,Thursday, said that RCS's delegations which carried out relief activities in Pakistan on the instructions of Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed al Nahyan, President of RCS, have made a survey of the basic needs in the affected areas.



He added that RCS was encouraged by individuals and establishments in the UAE who expressed their willingness to help in rebuilding schools, healthcare centres and mosques in the quake-hit Azad Kashmir and other areas in the North-West Region.



The head of RCS in Pakistan, Sari al-Hamli, expressed gratitude for the cooperation and help extended by the Establishment Division and other Pakistani institutions to the UAE Red Crescent. He also extended, at end of his delegation's mission, his thanks to the UAE Ambassador and members of the Embassy for their cooperation and help. (The Emirates News Agency, WAM)
