UAE Vice President receives Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister

H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, received in Dubai yesterday at the Za'abeel Palace Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister, Mahdi Mustafawi, who is also the Special Envoy of the Iranian President.

During the meeting, Mustafawi, who is currently on a visit to the UAE as part of his tour of a number of countries in the region, presented to Sheikh Mohammed from President Ahmadinejad a letter which contains Iran's point of view on its negotiations with international bodies on the issue of its nuclear programme, which has aroused strong international opposition.

Sheikh Mohammed reiterated the UAE's peaceful policy which is based on a making the Middle East region free of all banned weapons in order to achieve stability, global peace and peaceful-coexistence among all peoples of the world to enable the world to focus on development and to achieve food, social and health security for all.
