N'Djamena - The UAE's assistance to Chad is enormous and accounts for 90 per cent of the total aid received by Chad from the rest of the world, according to a Chadian Minister. "The UAE's humanitarian and charitable assistance is making a considerable impact on the country . We are indebted to the UAE's leadership for keeping our country on top of their agenda", said Abdul Rahman Kuku, Minister of Education.

Speaking during a meeting with a delegation of the Zayed Foundation for Humanitarian and Charitable Works, Kuku said the help provided by the Zayed Foundation in the field of education was particularly making a huge impact on the society. He noted that the Zayed Scientific Complex in Adam Baraka University has turned into a beacon of knowledge for students who are now fluent in both Arabic and French. The first batch of the Zayed college comprising 128 students graduated this week. The graduation ceremony was attended by the Zayed Foundation delegation, led by Salim bin Obaid Al Dhaheri, Director General. (Emirates News Agency, WAM)
