UAE aid to Palestinians in Syria

Damascus - As part of the policy of providing aid to the Palestinian people. Aid convoy of four trucks sent by UAE Red Crescent arrived in Damascus carrying 80 tons of food stuffs and other supplies to Palestinian refugees who fled from Iraq to Syria. Yousof Mohammed al Midfai , the UAE ambassador to Syria hailed the humanitarian role of the Red Crescent which goes in line with the directives of President H.H. Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and the follow- up of General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces and Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the UAE Red Crescent in providing the needy and poor people in the Arab and Islamic world with the necessary aid.
