The UAE and Algeria will sign two agreements on avoidance of double taxation on income and capital and protection of investment. Dr. Mohammed Khalfan Kharbash, Minister of State for Financial and Industrial Affairs, will fly to Algeria at the head of a UAE delegation on Monday to sign the agreements and to inaugurate the 2nd UAE Exhibition in Algiers to be held between April 25 to 28.

Khalid al Bustani, the Ministry's assistant Under Secretary for Resources and Budgetary affairs, said that the aim for signing the agreements was to achieve economic balance between the two countries and to facilitate the establishment of joint projects. He said that the agreements would provide the legal framework needed by public and private institutions of the two countries to deal with each other. The exhibition is expected to promote trade between the two countries, which currently stands at Dh700 million. (The Emirates News Agency, WAM)
