UAE and Belarus explore ways to bolster bilateral cooperation

The UAE and the Republic of Belarus held high-level talks in Abu Dhabi yesterday to explore new avenues for boosting bilateral cooperation, particularly in the areas of trade and investment.



In a meeting between President H.H Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and the visiting Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko, the two countries expressed mutual interest to bolster bilateral cooperation in such a way as to better serve the best interest of peoples of the two countries.



"We hope the visit of President Lukashenko would open new avenues of cooperation between our two countries", said President Khalifa as he welcomed the Head of the Belarusian State.



For his part, President Alexander Lukashenko expressed his happiness to visit the UAE and meet President Khalifa. He further expressed his hope that the visit would enhance bilateral cooperation , particularly in the areas of trade and investments. (Emirates News Agency, WAM)
