Cairo - Under the patronage of Shaikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Supreme Chairperson of the Family Development Foundation and Chairwoman of the General Women's Union, and upon an initiative of Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Ruler's Representative in the Western Region and Chairman of the Red Crescent Authority (RCA), ‘Giving Hands' initiative continues to provide medical help for poor children in Egyptian villages.

World-class doctors from the UAE, Egypt and other countries are involved in treating underprivileged Egyptian children in coordination with the Egyptian Ministry of Social Security and the Ministry of Health.

Prof. Mursi Ameen, Head of the Cardiology Centre at the Ain Shams University, hailed efforts by Shaikha Fatima and Sheikh Hamdan to provide help for needy people worldwide. He said the Giving Hands' operation in Egypt is a reflection of the strong relations with the UAE. – Emirates News Agency, WAM
