The UAE has condemned the latest car bombing which took place Wednesday killing a number of people including Lebanese lawmaker Antoine Ghanem.

"The UAE condemns in the strongest of terms this criminal act and calls all Lebanese people to foil the criminal perpetrators' attempts by exercising self-restraint, closing their ranks, resuming their national dialogue as well as completing the constitutional process ahead of the upcoming presidential elections", said UAE Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

Sheikh Abdullah expressed his heartfelt consolation to the family of the late lawmaker Antoine Ghanem, the families of the other victims of the attack as well as to the Lebanese people. (Emirates News Agency, WAM)
