The United Arab Emirates has strongly condemned the terrorist explosions in the Afghan capital of capital and the city of Mazar-e Sharif. UAE also expressed sincere condolences to the families of the victims and wished the wounded and injured a speedy recovery.

In a statement, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Jumaa Mubarak Al Junaibi stressed that the UAE condemns these criminal acts that targeted the mosques during Ashura ceremonies. He said the explosions were orchestrated for creating strife and sowing discord among the Afghan people.

He added that the UAE urges all Afghan parties to rally around the peace process, as it asks them to stand united against terrorism, which does not distinguish between race or sect or religion.

He said that the UAE affirms its solidarity with the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, its resolve to stand beside that country in the face of extremism and terrorism and calls for the need to maintain security and stability in the region. - Emirates News Agency, WAM
