Interpol Secretary-General Dr Ronald K. Noble has hailed the efforts of the UAE's Higher Committee for Child protection at the Ministry of Interior and its contributions to combat crime, including child protection.
He appreciated the efforts of the ministry in working to establish its Centre for Child Protection. Dr Noble had recently met with UAE Interior Ministry delegation led by Lieutenant Colonel Faisal Mohammed Al Shimmari, Director of the Child protection Centre, in Leon, France. " The initiative of setting up the centre was in pursuance of the directives of Lieutenant General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime minister and Minister of Interior, with the aim of making the UAE a civilised hub for child protection.
Dr Noble lauded the system of the ministry in developing the strategic partnership for conveying knowledge and building the capabilities. The meeting between the two touched upon the efforts of the Virtual Global Taskforce (VGT) of the Interpol and the Ministry of Interior as effective members in the task force, to achieve its noble objectives. – Khaleej Times
