(WAM) The Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation will set up two major camps for Afghan refugees in Afghanistan on Chaman boarder, according to Ibrahim Bu Melha, Dubai Attorney-General and Vice-Chairman of the foundation. The foundation is the sole and only humanitarian organisation in the world to have so far been granted permission by both the Afghan and the Pakistani authorities to set up camps for thousands of refugees on the Afghan territories.

'It is a great achievement for UAE and a reward for the efforts of the foundation which launched a relief campaign to help the Afghan refugees on the instructions of General Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and UAE Minister of Defence,' Bu Melha said, according to reports in the UAE's dailies. This achievement was accomplished by the foundation's delegation who visited Pakistan and Afghanistan last week, to make the arrangements to set up the camps. 'The delegation is going again early next week to start the operations. The delegation met refugees and inspected their living conditions,' the reports said. WAM
