UAE missions celebrate national day

Washington - UAE missions across the world continued to celebrate the 37th National Day of the country with the participation of representatives of Heads of Sates, ministers and other senior government officials.

In Washington, UAE Ambassador Yousif Al Otaiba hosted a reception which was attended by senior U.S. officials, including John Negroponte, Deputy Secretary of State, Assistant Secretary of State, officials and diplomats.

Al Otaiba highlighted in a speech the march of federation under the wise leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and Their Highnesses the Supreme Council Members '&' Rulers of the Emirates, as well as UAE's strong relations with the United States.

In Ankara, Ambassador Khalid Khalifa Al Mualla hosted a reception that was attended by a number of Turkish officials, diplomats, parliamentarians, businessmen and media personalities.

In Paris, UAE Ambassador to France Abdullah Nasser Sultan Al Ameri hosted a reception which was attended by Sheikh Hazza bin Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Sheikh Yas bin Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the French President's special representative and high ranking French officials, including former President Jacques Chirac. – Emirates News Agency, WAM
