The Russian Presidency has warmly welcomed the visit of His Highness General Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces to Moscow and his talks with President Vladimir Putin.

A statement by the Kremlin's media office highlighted the importance of the visit by saying that during his meeting with Sheikh Mohamed, President Putin will discuss priority issues of Russian-UAE relations, including the prospects for strengthening cooperation in economy, trade, energy and investment sectors. They will also exchange views on topical issues of the international agenda.

The statement described UAE as one of Russia's leading economic partners.
