UAE participates in 3rd GCC-US Dialogue on Trade and Investment in Qatar

DOHA: The 3rd GCC-US Dialogue on Trade and Investment, aimed at further developing tools for expanding two-way trade and investment, and discuss challenges, concluded in the Qatari capital of Doha yesterday.

The UAE official delegation, comprising representatives from the ministries of economy and finance, was headed by Fahad Obeid Al Tafaq, Director of the Department of Economic Affairs and International Cooperation, Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Organised by the GCC Secretariat General, the two-day event was convened under the US-GCC Framework Agreement for Trade, Economic, Investment and Technical Cooperation, signed in 2012.

The UAE delegation engaged in discussions regarding principles of international investment and principles of trade in ICT services and welcomed a US proposal to host a workshop on international best practices to facilitate trade in the UAE during the current year. – Emirates News Agency, WAM – http://www.wam.ae/en/news/economics/1395281996529.html
