Baghdad - Brigadier Obaid Al Kutbi, Commander of the UAE Task Force for the Reconstruction of Iraq, inspected yesterday the Shamaiya Elderly Welfare Centre here after it has been fitted with all necessary requirements. Al Kutbi said the centre had been equipped with requirements necessary for the elderly people including a 500 kilowatt generator, 75 air-conditioners, water coolers, 150 fully furnished beds and ovens. The mosque was also provided with copies of the holy Quran, books and carpets. ' A team of doctors from the Sheikh Zayed hospital in Baghdad will visit the centre to examine the elderly people and offer medical and health care.
