UAE relief aid to Palestine

Two UAE planes carrying 80 tonnes of relief supplies will fly to Palestine next Week as part of the UAE Red Crescent Society's campaign to assist Palestinian people. The first aircraft, loaded with 40 tonnes of food and medical supplies worth Dh 1.4 million, will leave on Saturday. On Sunday a second plane from the Sharjah Charity Society will airlift 40 tonnes of relief aid worth Dh 800,000. A RCS team will leave on board to supervise distribution of assistance to the wounded, orphans and widows. Meanwhile, the RCS has received a donation of one million Dirham from local businessman Saeed Al Nabouda in support of the RCS's Afghan relief fund. Khalifa Al Nabouda offered one million Dirham in support of the Palestinian relief campaign. Abdullah Al Muheiri, RCS Deputy Secretary General for Administrative and Financial Affairs, thanked the two philanthropists for their support for charitable works inside and outside the country.
