Beirut - A UAE relief plane carrying 15 tonnes of relief materials landed in Rafik Al Hariri International airport here yesterday. The shipment is part of a UAE air bridge to Lebanon, aimed at alleviating the suffering of the displaced victims of the current war. The items were delivered by the UAE committee to a local charity, headed by the former Lebanese Prime Minister Nejuib Miqati. Meanwhile, the fourth relief plane to be dispatched to Lebanon by the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Charity Foundation arrived today, carrying 40 tonnes of relief supplies. The shipment also included one ambulance. This will bring the number of ambulance vehicles dispatched by the charity body to five vehicles. (Emirates News Agency, WAM)
